This week’s photo scavenger hunt, organized by Random Michelle, was all about purple. I was looking for:
- Brick
- Purple flower(s)
- Purple clothing
- Something else purple
- Still water
- Chaos

West Seattle is an old neighborhood; this great brick apartment building is right around the corner.

Purple iris are my favorite – I miss my garden. A little bit.

We have gorgeous purple wild lilacs (ceanothus) beside our front steps; Luna-cat likes them too.

I wore a purple shirt to the office earlier this week. Even though image quality is poor, I liked the lens flare from the flash on this one.

As I was looking for my other purple subject, these caught my eye. They’re certainly not a profound photo masterpiece, but I suppose not everything has to be.

Dinner at Luna Park Cafe. Glass of still water by the old fashioned tabletop jukebox.

I drove past this awesome High Point Park play structure, then decided to turn around & come back even though it was getting dark to try to capture chaos. I’m glad I did.

Another chaotic angle on the play structure. It was fun getting under and inside it for different angles, backgrounds and lighting.

This is what the play structure looks like from an outside, straight-on perspective – no longer as chaotic but still very interesting,.
Again, this was fun to do, and I’m glad it persuaded me to get out of the house and see things with different, more creative eyes. I’m still mostly using my iPhone for photos – my new camera battery charger doesn’t seem to work.
Thanks, Michelle! The others who have participated so far include:

Oh, I do like your chaos! Very nice.
